With the “Back to School” promotions appearing in stores, and students everywhere returning to the classroom, it serves as a timely reminder of the many educational and training opportunities that we at NACD offer our members.
We've had a particularly busy summer and continue to add to our extensive range of resources. Just last week at the ChemEdge Conference and Trade Show in Texas, we announced an exciting new addition to our lineup with the launch of the RegClear compliance tool.
Developed in partnership with our strategic partner, Environment and Safety Solutions, RegClear is a revamp of our Regulatory Compliance Resource Guide featuring a new series of micro-learning videos that further explain the regulations.
This fantastic new resource offers a wealth of information to NACD members, all within a single document. The new content is designed to help companies understand which regulations apply to their operations.
The bite-sized videos available through RegClear are completely free for members via our online training platform NACD U, but you do need to log in to access them. You can filter this new content simply by entering “RegClear” in the search field at the top of the NACD U home screen.
NACD has released 10 RegClear overviews to date, with more coming soon. The first videos in this series provide a foundation for regulatory compliance and include topics such as: “How to Read a Regulation,” “Inspection 101,” and “How to Create an Inventory of Chemicals.”
Since its launch in 2014, NACD U has proved an invaluable resource to our membership, providing a comprehensive e-learning platform designed to improve the skills, knowledge, and professional development of workers in the chemical distribution industry.
Having grown significantly over the years, NACD U now offers access to over 400 easily digestible training courses. These courses have been either developed by NACD for Responsible Distribution and Regulatory training or made available through partnerships with companies such as JJ Keller. Each typically takes around 30 minutes to complete.
Additionally, new Responsible Distribution offerings are also now available! Codes I through V have been updated and refreshed to reflect the Responsible Distribution 2023 verification program and are now accessible to boost your knowledge and understanding of the code-specific requirements.
We're continually developing new material to address the ever-changing regulatory landscape, so be sure to keep checking the NACD U webpage for updates.
