For instance, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and amid the supply chain and logistics issues, Axon’s proximity to NACD enabled them to understand those challenges and help ease the burden of members’ insurance renewals and program structuring.
The pandemic saw most companies maximizing their profit margins by selling product at far higher prices. While most premiums would previously have been based on gross revenues, Axon was able to adapt quickly to the changing market conditions and offer more suitable policies, he explains.
“We recognized this and were able to approach our clients to develop premiums based on the volume of product that was being distributed instead of their revenues. We were able to take out all that inflationary chatter,” he says.
All NACD members are eligible for a 10% discount on AIG’s Environmental and General Liability Exposures (EAGLE) Program – a single comprehensive policy that provides both general liability and pollution liability coverage. They also receive certain enhancements to their policies that are not available to nonmembers – including Worldwide Products Pollution and Worldwide Transportation Pollution.
McMillan says Axon extends unscheduled complimentary pollution coverage at any NACD Responsible Distribution verified location.
