We are now accepting applications for the next class of NACD’s hugely successful Emerging Leaders Program.
Now in its ninth year, it provides a truly invaluable experience for the next generation of leaders, providing many of the skills they’ll need to make their mark on the industry.
Any NACD member or Affiliate can nominate someone for the program. Just fill in the application and send it to us before the closing date of December 1, 2022. NACD’s Education Committee will review the applications, and selected candidates will be contacted by the end of the year.
Once accepted, we ask that they commit to a two-year program filled with speakers, seminars, and interactive sessions that will inspire, inform, and unlock their potential.
An introductory virtual session is scheduled to take place in early 2023, after which participants will be required to meet in person three to four times each year.
NACD’s Emerging Leaders Program stands out from other similar initiatives because it's the only one that pairs standard leadership and management training with industry knowledge and the chance to make important connections in the chemical distribution industry.
The program promises to take high-performing individuals to the next level – offering all the guidance and insight they’ll need to help them on their path to a successful career in chemical distribution.
Covering everything from problem-solving and relationship building to communication skills and best practices, young leaders work alongside their colleagues and peers to learn how to overcome the everyday hurdles of upper management.
They will be fast-tracked by learning directly from CEOs, Boards of Directors, and industry experts they wouldn't normally have access to, covering diverse topics such as work-life balance, financial planning, time management, diversity and inclusion training, and much more.
NACD wants to keep top talent in our industry and see them reach their full potential.
There are no tests or assessments – just the promise that by the end of the program, they’ll emerge with fresh ideas, long-standing relationships, and boundless ambition.
We’ve seen a surge in applications these past few years, and our class sizes have almost doubled as a result. However, seats for each class are still limited.
If you know of a motivated professional, ideally with around 10 years of experience in the chemical industry, who wants to develop their leadership skills, the application is now open.
