Driving Operations Forward at the ChemEdge 2023 Conference and Trade Show

The National Association of Chemical Distributors is ready to welcome hundreds of members back to ChemEdge 2023 Conference and Trade Show on August 16-18, 2023, in The Woodlands, Texas.

ChemEdge has become a must-attend event for anyone involved in operations and regulatory roles, providing carefully curated presentations, training, and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

This year’s theme, Driving Operations Forward, truly epitomizes the spirit of our industry – implementing best-in-class practices to move the chemical industry into the future.

ChemEdge provides the perfect opportunity for us all to come together to learn best practices regarding regulatory compliance, operational safety, and supply chain logistics.

The ChemEdge Committee put together an excellent program and a broad range of presentations that will help with your day-to-day operations.

Back by popular demand, we’ll be hosting our popular pre-conference Regulatory and Responsible Distribution Workshops earlier in the week.

The conference opening keynote presentation will feature Riaz Meghji, a human connections specialist, who will discuss how to build and maintain meaningful relationships,  which is critical in our industry.

Of course, there’s a lot happening in the regulatory arena right now, with the Superfund tax, rail reform, and trade issues, including the long-awaited renewal of the Generalized System of Preferences and Miscellaneous Tariff bill. NACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Jennifer Gibson will also be providing their legislative and regulatory update, which is usually a popular draw.

You can also expect a deep dive into per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) compliance, as well as the exposure and liabilities that our members may face as a result of PFAS.

Other conference sessions will focus on traceability and compliance, the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) Chemical Regulations, how to conduct an effective safety audit, and an overview of OSHA Process Safety Management.

In addition, there will be sessions covering fraud; Environmental Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S); management of hazardous waste; and guidance for dealing with a chemical spill.

We will also be bringing back our popular Fishbowl Roundtable, where participants will be able to share advice and ideas on a wide variety of topical issues.

If that isn’t enough to keep you busy, you’ll also have the chance to explore our packed Expo Hall with over 55 exhibitors showcasing their products and services.

NACD is also delighted to announce that we will be co-hosting a Women’s Development Day with Women in Chemicals this year. The session, which will take place on Wednesday, August 16, is completely free of charge. Thanks to the support of our dedicated sponsors and open to women working in the chemical sector. Expect lively discussion during an executive leadership roundtable session, inspiring talks about your career journey, and sit in on a live Woman of the Week podcast interview with Vanessa Sutherland, EVP Government Affairs, GC & Corporate Secretary at Phillips 66.

As an added bonus, everyone who participates will be able to join us for the opening day of ChemEdge and our evening reception as well.

ChemEdge 2023 promises to be a week of informative topics you won’t want to miss!
