An Annual Meeting Celebration 50 Years in the Making

For an Annual Meeting celebrating NACD’s 50th anniversary, it seems only fitting to mark the occasion with a glamorous location, a packed program, and an equally stellar selection of speakers.

Over the course of the four-day event from November 8-11, we’re confident there will be something for everyone, with exceptional presentations providing attendees with plenty of great ideas and insight to take away by the end of the week.

Perhaps most timely, given Team USA’s record Ryder Cup win, we’ll be hearing from the professional golfer and broadcaster David Feherty who will open proceedings with some lighthearted stories from his playing days.

Maybe we can instead whet your appetite with a session from marketing specialist and innovator Richard Montañez? He now heads Multicultural Sales & Marketing for PepsiCo’s North American divisions but is also known as the creator of everyone’s favorite snack, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. There will be plenty to chew over as he talks us through a career that took him from janitor to the board room.

Together, we have faced many challenges over the years – perhaps no more so than the last 18 months. So, who better to talk about leadership through even the toughest of times than Lieutenant General (ret), Nadja West? In her session, she will highlight the importance of strategy, confidence, and communication when navigating periods of uncertainty.

Attendees can expect thought-provoking analysis from ITR Economics’ Alan Beaulieu, a comprehensive regulatory update from NACD’s Jennifer Gibson, and a lively discussion on the prevailing supply chain crisis with a panel including NACD President and CEO Eric Byer and ACC President Chris Jahn.

Besides touching on leadership, innovation, and the economic outlook, we’ll also be sharing memories of the past five decades and the many successes of NACD and its members and Affiliates. There will be ample networking opportunities at our social and recreational events like golf, kayaking, walking tours, and a charitable fun run.

Following the success of our first-ever community event at our last meeting, you’re also welcome to donate a little of your time preparing Thanksgiving meal packs to help local students and families.

It feels fantastic to be hosting an in-person Annual Meeting once again. We’ve been working hard with the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura, Florida, to ensure all the latest COVID-19 precautions are in place and that everyone has a safe and enjoyable event.

It’s not too late to register, so save your spot today.
