ACD's Central and Southern Regions Meeting Heads to Charleston

After receiving fantastic feedback over the past few years, ACD has decided to once again combine the Central and Southern Regions Meeting – this time bringing it down to Charleston, South Carolina, from February 26-28, 2024.

There’s always a real energy at these gatherings and we’re looking forward to seeing plenty of new and familiar faces at the Mills House Charleston, Curio Collection by Hilton, next month.

The event will kick off with the opening reception at the hotel on the first night for a chance to relax and unwind with friends and colleagues, in preparation for two days packed with presentations and networking.

With sales and performance always top of mind for our membership, we’re delighted to be joined by one of our most popular speakers, Michael Sherlock, for the first morning session. Her presentation titled “How Leading a Sales Team Requires More Out of You” will have her take a deep dive into the best ways to overcome challenges as a leader and inspire, motivate, and coach your team to excel in sales. Expect this interactive session to deliver some excellent insight and takeaways.

We’ll also have a regulatory and legislative update, along with a thorough look at the many tools and resources available to make sense of it all, from Douglas A. Leigh III, Vice President, Legislative Affairs at ACD.

The afternoon offers the opportunity to participate in  optional small group activities. Participants can choose between a historic walking tour of downtown Charleston or indulging in local delicacies during a food tour of the port city.

Everyone will then reconvene for the evening networking event, TopGolf – where you’ll have the opportunity to flex your  competitive nature for a few hours of networking and golfing fun.

We will kick off the next morning with Gene Marks of the Marks Group, who will  delve into the hot topics of  talent retention and advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI). He will explore exciting new AI tools and technologies such as ChatGPT and the potential impact on our businesses and working practices.

Closing out the meeting, Adam Rothman of Boston Consulting Group will lead a discussion on the trends and opportunities in chemicals distribution. From consolidation through to digitalization and sustainability, Rothman will look at how to adapt and thrive in this ever-changing business environment.

So, what are you waiting for? Head over to our website and reserve your spot at next month’s Central and Southern Regions Meeting!

For those who unable to travel extensively or attend our Annual Meeting in November, these local regional meetings offer a great opportunity to gather for a few days, listen to informative and enlightening presentations, and make new contacts.

Meeting with friends and connecting with new faces, while also conducting in-person meetings, is always extremely important to our membership. Each year, attendees consistently express satisfaction with our regional events and appreciate having the opportunity to network and build meaningful relationships.

Registration is now open, but the hotel deadline is coming up soon! find out more information about the meeting, visit the webpage, contact the meetings team at meetings@acd-chem.com, or email tpierce@acd-chem.com.
