Chemical distribution is increasingly inter-connected. Because of this, it’s becoming even more clear that diverse perspectives and experiences can foster greater learning, growth, and opportunity for all.
Change is a constant in the chemical distribution industry, and our members have experienced many new and evolving trends over the last few decades. In the early days, chemical distribution was primarily transactional, focusing on supplying regional customers with base chemicals, solvents, and pigments to fulfill orders. Today, we operate in a global economy, and the landscape of offerings has changed. Today, chemical distribution professionals are taking steps to improve and evolve their businesses by being stewards of sustainability, incorporating cutting-edge technologies into day-to-day operations, and providing greater value-added services.
Just as our industry is continuously changing, so are we. As the next step in our evolution since changing our name last fall, ACD is redefining its membership categories.
Traditionally, ACD’s membership has consisted of Distributor Members and several different Affiliate categories. After much consideration, we've decided to combine our Chemical Handler Affiliates and Distributor Members into one category.
ACD is hitting the road! In just a few short weeks, our team will travel to Houston, Texas and Seattle, Washington for a series of Town Hall events to meet and interact with ACD members across the country.
With the warmer summer months fast approaching, now’s the perfect time for ACD members to ensure you’re taking the necessary precautions to protect your employees from heat exposure in the workplace.
The roles and responsibilities of the chemical distribution industry are undoubtedly diverse. From chemists, engineers, mixers, tollers, marketers, sellers, accountants, and more, our industry represents a range of professional opportunities.
If you’d like to see exactly how you’ve been performing against your peers, and who have been the movers and shakers in chemical distribution this year, it’s now just a few weeks to wait until the publication of the latest Independent Commodity Intelligence Services (ICIS) Top 100 Chemicals Distributors Special Report.
Are you struggling with sales? Do you have difficulty finding prospects or closing deals?
Last month, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics published its March 2024 Consumer Price Index (CPI) report, with its Producer Price Index (PPI) following a day later.
At ACD, we are constantly trying to grow and modernize, just like our ever-evolving industry. That’s why we’re excited to share the newest online tool that will enhance our members’ learning experience.
