Registration is now open for our upcoming Central & Southern Regions Meeting taking place in Nashville, TN. From June 13-15, 2022, the Margaritaville Hotel Nashville will host a special combined meeting, providing the perfect opportunity for members from both regions to reunite.
NACD Central Region Representative Marilyn Stovall Fitzgerald of TransChemical Inc. will join NACD Southern Region Representative Colie Whitaker of Whitaker Oil Company to open the proceedings and welcome attendees to an event filled with networking and some informative presentations.
Among the speakers, Major General Vincent Boles, USA (Ret.) will draw from his four decades of experience in both the battlefield and the boardroom to offer some inspiration in terms of leadership and management, explaining the importance of blocking out distractions and always staying focused.
We’ll also be taking some inspiration from Karen McCullough of Karen McCullough & Co. about maximizing potential and utilizing the energy and enthusiasm of staff, peers, and colleagues to benefit your organization.
And closing out that first day, ITR Economics’ Lauren Saidel-Baker will outline some of the many opportunities and risks that lie ahead given the myriad of challenges posed by the supply chain, labor issues, and the uncertainty we’re currently seeing in the marketplace.
The second day of sessions will start with NACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer setting the scene with a summary of all the current legislative and regulatory issues facing the industry.
Crisis communication expert Gerard Braud will then explain the virtues of being well prepared for any eventuality and how best to manage your messaging and social media should you have to deal with an incident.
And as the meeting draws to a close, Eric Byer will return to draw our attention to the particularly pertinent issue of the supply chain crisis, how its many challenges are being addressed, and what is being done to ensure the sector is safeguarded in the future.
