Superior Industrial Solutions Hosts Rep. Rudy Yakym for 25th Site Visit

Arlington, VA –Today, Superior Industrial Solutions, Inc., member of the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD), welcomed Representative Rudy Yakym (IN-2) to its Elkhart, IN distribution facility as Superior celebrates its 25th site visit.

“Site visits allow for Members of Congress to develop a deeper understanding of chemical distribution through hands-on experiences that cannot be replicated on Capitol Hill,” said Eric R. Byer, President and CEO of NACD. “NACD thanks Superior’s President Kurt Hettinga for his incredible dedication to educating Members of Congress and supporting NACD's mission to be an advocate for our industry by personally hosting all 25 site visits that have taken place at Superior’s facilities thus far.”

“Kurt’s strong leadership and commitment to excellence was evident during my tour of Superior Industrial Solutions in Elkhart today,” said Rep. Yakym. “Throughout my time in Congress, I have made it a priority to meet with a wide range of Hoosier manufacturers and businesses like Superior to see firsthand the solutions they are delivering day in and day out. I greatly appreciate Kurt for hosting today’s very informative site visit and for helping me and my team better understand Superior’s operations and the important work they are doing.”

“It was great to welcome Rep. Yakym to Superior today as we recognize our 25th visit,” said Kurt Hettinga. “We regularly invite Members of Congress to our facilities to show them the important work we do and to demonstrate the local impact of our chemical distribution facilities. There’s no other method as effective than site visits to give lawmakers an appreciation for both the work we do and the people behind the operation.

“Chemical distribution is a complex industry that can be difficult to grasp. That’s why we prioritize these site visits to educate lawmakers, build relationships, and better advocate for the needs of the industry. It’s the reason that, as of today, Superior has hosted 25 of these visits and plans to host more in the years to come.”

Today, NACD members also welcomed Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) to Brenntag Mid-South, Inc.’s facility in Nitro, WV. NACD applauds the work of its members to facilitate in-district meetings and site visits with their lawmakers to advocate for the interests of the industry.
