Today, National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) President Eric R. Byer issued the following statement congratulating Andrew Wheeler on his confirmation as the new Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
“NACD is pleased that the EPA now has a Senate-confirmed leader in Administrator Wheeler. His commitment to continuing broad regulatory reform, strengthening transparency in science in the rulemaking process, and moving from enforcement actions to compliance assistance to enable businesses to comply with federal regulations will provide companies regulated by the agency with greater certainty to grow the economy while also remaining compliant with federal rules.
“We congratulate Administrator Wheeler on his Senate confirmation to lead this important agency, and we look forward to continuing to work with him on issues that are vital to the chemical distribution industry as well as the safety of our workers and our communities.”
