Today, two member companies of the National Association of Chemical Distributors are hosting virtual congressional site visits with their elected officials to educate them on the essential services of the chemical distribution industry, particularly amid the COVID-19 health emergency. The first company, Superior, is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Established in 1932, Superior is a full-service chemical distributor, manufacturer, and services provider. They will host Sen. Mike Braun (R-IN). The second company, Wego Chemical Group, is headquartered in Great Neck, NY, and is a global supplier, importer, and distributor of chemicals, minerals, and raw materials. They will host Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY).
Discussing NACD’s site visit program, NACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer said, “Congressional site visits truly help our representatives in Washington, D.C. understand the business of chemical distribution and the important products we provide to many industries throughout the U.S. Traditionally, we have these visits in person; however, given the global health emergency, we decided to provide a platform for our members to continue this outreach and interaction via virtual site visits.”
He continued, “These virtual tours allow our members to demonstrate to lawmakers the real-world impacts of legislation and to educate them about their businesses. We are proud our members have the opportunity to show their elected officials the craft of chemical distribution, and we are confident our site visit program and the impact it has here in Washington will continue to grow.”
