NACD Applauds the Service and Success of DHS David Wulf Leading CFATS Program

Arlington, VA – Today, National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) President and CEO Eric R. Byer issued the following statement commending David Wulf, Director of the Infrastructure Security Compliance Division at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), for his hard work and success leading DHS’ Chemical Facilities Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program and congratulating him on his new role at the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

“The CFATS program has made the chemical industry and our nation much more secure. From the program’s establishment in 2007, the industry has invested significant capital and training resources towards enhanced or augmented security measures at our facilities. Under the leadership of David Wulf, the CFATS program has improved significantly and developed into a vital cog in securing our nation’s most hazardous chemicals from acts of terrorism.

“Dave developed a culture of collaboration between a government regulator and industry that has never before been seen. He worked with all stakeholders on developing robust standards that are supported by the regulated industry.

“The chemical industry will miss Dave’s leadership and wishes him only success in his new role.”
