Arlington, VA – Today, the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) ChemEdge Conference and Trade Show, the leading chemical distribution operations, and management conference in the United States, kicks off in Indianapolis, Indiana. The three-day conference provides a forum for businesses to learn about the latest products and services, to network with fellow distributors and supply chain partners, and to attend informative sessions from key industry leaders.

This year, ChemEdge will provide a variety of educational and training panels, giving attendees the opportunity to interact and learn from their peers, as well as industry experts. ChemEdge will feature 13 sessions on a range of topics, and nearly 60 hand-picked exhibitors will be on display on the trade show floor, providing a variety of operational goods and services designed for chemical distributors’ business needs.  

NACD President and CEO Eric R. Byer will host a session with NACD Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Jennifer Gibson to provide an update on the current and upcoming legislative and regulatory issues facing the industry.

Other key sessions at the conference include:

• Compliance 101: Jennifer Gibson hosts another session where she will deep dive into the chemical distribution regulatory landscape and provide tools to ensure businesses across the industry remain compliant with multiple federal agencies.
• Where’s My Stuff? Supply Chain Management in the Days of the Pandemic: As businesses continue to struggle with supply chain disruptions from the pandemic, Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business Professor Kyle Cattani will explore what supply chain recovery looks like post pandemic.
• The Competitive Advantage of Business Sustainability: In this year’s closing session, Sustainalytica’s Amrou Awaysheh will explain the various elements of business sustainability, the current environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) landscape, and how these elements can be integrated into successful business operations with a competitive advantage.
