Arlington, VA –Today, the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) sent letters to President-elect Donald J. Trump’s transition team and cabinet appointees to underscore the organization’s priorities within the jurisdiction of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Department of Treasury (USDT).
Eric R. Byer, President and CEO of ACD, released the following statement on the importance of these policies to the growth of the chemical distribution industry:
“The chemical supply chain plays a critical role in the strength of our economy and the everyday needs of Americans,” said Byer. “The onslaught of regulations from the Biden Administration, specifically from the EPA and DOL, has unfortunately placed additional economic burdens and uncertainty on businesses across the nation, threatening their ability to remain competitive. ACD encourages the transition team and incoming cabinet appointees to examine the cost implications imposed on businesses by these regulations and urges swift action to roll back these harmful policies. We look forward to working with the new administration on policies that support the American economy, American workers, and American businesses.”
