ACD Celebrates 2024 Annual Meeting in La Quinta, California

 

Arlington, VA –Today, the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) welcomed 667 members and industry leaders for its highly anticipated 2024 Annual Meeting held in La Quinta, California. The event, which brings together chemical distribution industry thought leaders, suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers to discuss transformative industry trends, marks the one-year anniversary of the launch of ACD’s rebrand from the National Association for Chemical Distributors (NACD) and its new tagline, “Empowered Performance, Unrivaled Expertise.”

This year’s theme, “Connecting the Experts Our World Depends On,” builds upon ACD’s rebrand to embrace all the organization does to back the chemical distribution experts who ensure high-quality products that are so essential to our daily lives get where they need to be, when they need to be there.

“Every year, leaders in the chemical distribution industry gather at the Annual Meeting to examine industry trends, economic shifts, and the ever-changing regulatory environment that impacts businesses both large and small,” said Meg Gluth, ACD Annual Meeting Chair and President and Owner of Catalynt Solutions, Inc. “In the year since our rebrand, ACD has demonstrated unwavering dedication to advancing the chemical distribution industry. The 2024 Annual Meeting will explore the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in reshaping chemical distribution, effective crisis communication, and leadership development initiatives. Some of the session spotlights include:

 

  • Crossing the Generational Divide in Chemical Distribution: Unexpected Discoveries and Practical Solutions to Unlock Performance Across Generations with Jason Dorsey, President of The Center for Generational Kinetics. Dorsey will separate myth from truth with insights about generations and what most unlocks their performance. This information will help ACD members thrive in recruiting and retaining different generations of employees to inspire trust, engagement and effective communication across multiple generations and geographies.
  • People Process Product – The Three P’s with Marcus Lemonis, Serial Entrepreneur & Investor, Chairman and CEO of Camping World, Star of The Profit and Founder of The Lemon-AID Foundation. Lemonis will share his famous “Three P’s” that will emphasize how leaders can drive growth through efficient operations and a strong company culture.
  • A Conversation with Asa Hutchinson, former Governor of Arkansas. Hutchinson will provide an inside look at the political landscape post-election, discussing key outcomes and implications for the industry. Hutchinson has served in roles such as U.S. Attorney, Congressman, Administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration, and Department of Homeland Security Undersecretary for border and transportation security. His experience establishes him as a national resource for his expertise on trade, energy, national security, and education.
