ACD Applauds Senate Confirmation of Sean Duffy to Serve as Department of Transportation Secretary

 

Arlington, VA. Today, Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) President and CEO Eric R. Byer released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm former U.S. Representative Sean Duffy as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT):

“ACD applauds the U.S. Senate for swiftly confirming Sean Duffy to serve as Secretary of Transportation. The chemical distribution industry relies on an efficient and safe freight transportation system to support our domestic and international supply chains and ensure the delivery of chemical products that are crucial to American’s everyday lives. We look forward to working with Mr. Duffy as he assumes this new role and we are confident that he will lead the DOT forward in its mission of improving America’s transportation systems.”

Ahead of Mr. Duffy’s confirmation hearing, ACD and American Chemistry Council sent a letter of support to the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.
