ACD Announces 2024 Graduates of the Emerging Leaders Program

Arlington, VA –Wednesday, November 13, during its 2024 Annual Meeting, the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) announced the 2024 Emerging Leaders program graduating class. This year marks an extraordinary milestone as we celebrate 10 years of successfully priming the future leaders of the chemical distribution industry. Over the past decade, this program has empowered hundreds of promising professionals to rise to new heights by fostering critical leadership skills, cultivating dynamic professional networks, and instilling the core values of responsibility and innovation. As we honor this legacy, we look forward to continuing to inspire and develop the next generation of leaders who will drive excellence and transformation for years to come.

This most recent Emerging Leaders cohort has spent two years developing the skills needed to step into advanced leadership roles within their respective organizations. ACD’s Emerging Leaders program differs from similar professional development programs by pairing standard leadership and management training with industry knowledge and the chance to make important connections in the chemical distribution industry. Participants in the program are employees who currently lead or influence others, manage teams, or have been identified for advancement by senior leadership.

The 2024 Emerging Leaders graduating class is recognized at ACD’s Annual Meeting in La Quinta, California.

“I’m thrilled to have completed the ACD’s Emerging Leaders Program, and I want to extend my deepest thanks to the entire ACD team for their dedication to developing the next generation of leaders in the chemical distribution industry,” said Thiago Cavalcanti, MBA, Outbound Supply Chain Manager of GreenChem Industries LLC. “This program has been an invaluable experience, offering me the chance to learn from industry experts, collaborate with talented peers, and gain insights into the future of our field. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained will undoubtedly guide my career as I continue to grow and contribute to this incredible industry.”

“This year’s Emerging Leaders class represents some of the top talent in our industry,” said Lucinda Schofer, Chief Operating Officer of ACD. “ACD takes pride in the Emerging Leaders program and the role it plays in fostering up-and-coming leaders to reach their full potential. Over the past two years, these highly motivated professionals have taken the steps to advance their critical thinking and communications skills, advocacy tactics, industry insights, and more. We are now excited to watch as they share these skills with their organizations and shape the future of the chemical distribution industry today and in the years to come.”
