- Total emissions were cut by 38 percent from 2015 in the chemical wholesaler sector.
- The average release per facility in the chemical wholesaler sector decreased by 15 percent.
- NACD member facilities in total reduced their releases by 33 percent from 2015.
NACD President Eric Byer said, “We are extremely proud of our member’s commitment to environmental, health, safety, and security issues through our third-party-verified chemical management system known as NACD Responsible Distribution®. The EPA’s TRI numbers demonstrate the success of NACD member efforts through this program to make environmental and community stewardship one of the highest priorities in running their businesses. We applaud our distributors for working tirelessly to make sustainability an important component of being responsible corporate citizens.”
