NACD Hires Lindsay Ryan as New Director of Legislative Affairs

NACD is proud to announce the hiring of Lindsay Ryan as the association’s new director of legislative affairs.

Prior to joining NACD, Ryan was a legislative assistant for U.S. Congressman John Moolenaar (R-MI) working on issues related to national defense, energy, immigration, the judiciary, science and technology, telecommunications, and veteran’s affairs. She also played an integral role in forming the U.S. House of Representatives Chemistry Caucus.

Before that, she served as a legislative assistant for Rep. David Camp (R-MI). During that time, she worked on legislation that touched on commerce, labor, small business, science and technology, and telecommunications. She also responded to constituent inquiries as a legislative correspondent.

NACD President Eric R. Byer said, “Lindsay is a great addition to our legislative team, and I know she will elevate the caliber of work we do for our members. Her background focusing on legislative issues directly impacting the business of chemical distribution is an incredible asset both for our work here in Washington and for our members spread across the entire United States.”

Ryan received a Master’s of Arts in Public Administration from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Communications from Grand Valley State University.
