NACD and IWLA Sign Memorandum of UnderstandingThe National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) and the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) pledging to work towards three main goals: increase cooperation on issues impacting the supply chain; increase mutual awareness of membership issues; and examine ways to expand the services offered by each organization. “NACD and IWLA share many of the same economic and regulatory challenges and opportunities in today’s environment,” said Eric R. Byer, president of NACD. “This MOU allows chemical distributors and handlers to come together to work towards our mutual goals.” Both organizations agreed to exchange memberships and registrations to each group’s annual meeting or trade show, share access to membership directories and open regular communications with each other relating to advocacy, regulatory issues and other areas of mutual interest. “By improving cooperation between IWLA and NACD, we can enhance value and safety throughout the chemical industry supply chain,” said Steve DeHaan, president and CEO of IWLA. “This MOU demonstrates the high level of commitment we have to working with NACD, and will provide a higher level of information, knowledge and service to our members.” ### © Copyright by National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) 1999 - 2016.
