Ohio State Senate Recognizes NACD Responsible Distribution®

Arlington, VA – Today, National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) President Eric R. Byer issued the following statement on the Ohio State Senate’s passage of Resolution 358 recognizing NACD Responsible Distribution®, the association’s mandatory third-party-verified environmental, health, safety, and security program.

“NACD is proud to have Responsible Distribution recognized at the state level in Ohio, especially during our 25th anniversary year of this invaluable program. Responsible Distribution plays an integral role in ensuring chemical distributors pursue industry best practices and work to protect their employees and surrounding community through continuous improvement in their day-to-day operations.

“We thank State Senator Frank LaRose for sponsoring this resolution and for working with us to ensure that Ohio chemical distributors verified under Responsible Distribution are given credit through the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency’s Encouraging Environmental Excellence program for the hard work these companies do each and every day to go above and beyond regulatory requirements. We hope this resolution will serve as a model for states across the country and will one day be adopted by the United States Congress.”
