This session will introduce Responsible Distribution to give attendees a better understanding of the program framework and requirements as well a better prepare them to participate in the remaining workshop sessions.

This session will dive deep into the requirements of Code X: Internal Audits, providing hands-on training on what is expected for conducting internal audits as well as tools and takeaways for how to improve your internal audit program. Whether you have one facility, are a multi-site operation, or use contracted third-party warehouses, this workshop will help you to get the most out of internal audits.

Welcome to the new Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD)! This session will give a quick recap of the recent rebranding, tips, tools, and resources as your company navigates this change with us and how to communicate the value of ACD Responsible Distribution to your supply chain partners.

Code VII: Emergency Response & Preparedness
Speaker: David Birdsong, Regulatory Compliance, Advanced Chemical Logistics

David Birdsong of Advanced Chemical Logistics will bring his unique perspective and years of experience from both working within the chemical distribution industry and being an active emergency responder. His insight will help better prepare your company when it comes to emergency preparedness and responses to emergency incidents.

How does establishing a safety culture within your organization tie back to the various Responsible Distribution Codes of Management Practice? Join Responsible Distribution Adviser, David Rivers, as he de-codes this connection to help everyone from managers, customer service and operators within your organization maintain safe operations.

Supply Chain Sustainability a Downstream Perspective
Speaker: Melody Moore, Director Quality & EH&S, Rinchem

How is your 3PL partnership selection impacting your own sustainability initiatives? How are you working with your supply chain partners to understand how everyone’s operations are impacting sustainability? This session will showcase some of Rinchem’s recent sustainability initiatives as they focus on 2025 and beyond.

Fishbowl/Roundtable Discussions
Facilitated by: ASK Staff

This session will break attendees into small groups for a practical discussion focusing on key topics from sessions presented during the workshop. These small group discussions will allow attendees to further explore best practices, share ideas, and build upon the knowledge gained earlier in the day.

This Part I session will review the requirements of Code VII, with an emphasis around pre-planning activities with emergency responders and Local Emergency Planning Commissions (LEPCs) and the importance of the annual review and testing of your emergency response procedures. Special insight will be given on how these activities help when the “if” turns to “when” and an incident occurs.

Wrap-Up

Roll up your sleeves for an interactive scenario-based tabletop exercise. Attendees review a scenario, break into small groups, navigate discussion questions, and then join together to discuss their take-aways.
