Online Training: HAZWOPER 8-Hour Refresher

The OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) rule regulates emergency response to hazardous substances. If you’ve had your 40-or 24-hour training, this interactive training is a great way to meet your annual training requirement.

ASK Distribution Consulting is partnering with the Environmental Resource Center to offer this training.

Training topics include:

  • Regulatory requirement update
  • Emergency planning, organization, and communication
  • Hazardous substance and radiological terms and behavior
  • Medical surveillance/safety and health program requirements
  • Hazard recognition and risk assessment
  • PPE selection and use
  • Review of safe work practices, container handling, and equipment use
  • Air and contaminant monitoring
  • Control, containment, and confinement techniques
  • Decontamination
  • Confined space entry update

All participants who attend and participate in both sessions of this training will receive a Certificate of Training.
