Session 1: General Awareness and Function Specific Training
Session 2: Function Specific and Security Awareness Training
Course Description: All Shippers of hazardous materials are required to train all of their hazmat employees (as defined at 49 CFR 172.8). In this interactive training on the rules governing the transportation of hazardous materials, participants will receive general awareness, function-specific, and general security awareness training for shippers, as required in 49 CFR 172.700. Coupled with a facility's safety training, this program will meet the requirements for a 3-year certification of training.
Course Instructor: Peter F. Downing, CHMM, President, Environment and Safety Solutions, Inc.
Course Materials: All participants who attend and participate in both sessions of this training will receive a Certificate of Training along with all course materials. Participants are strongly encouraged to have access to a paper copy of 49 CFR Parts 171 through 180.
