NACD provides the industry best practices, educational resources, and industry representation ensuring chemicals, so vital to modern life, arrive safely, securely, wherever, and whenever they are needed.
The association has come a very long way since it started up in 1971, essentially as a means for distributors, which at that time were primarily small, family-owned companies, to network, and share practices of excellence. While these still lie at the heart of the association’s activities, NACD now offers so much more as it has evolved over the years to become, and succeed as, a valuable resource for the chemical distribution industry and its supply chain.
NACD looks forward to supporting the chemical distribution supply chain for the next 50 years and more. By engaging the up and comers of the industry in programs like Emerging Leaders and Duke Executive Education, and by continuing to serve those already in leadership positions, we hope to enable the leaders of tomorrow to succeed.
And certainly, there will continue to be challenges ahead for our industry. Whether it is keeping on top of changing legislation and regulations, meeting sustainability goals, improving safety, or managing the landscape of ongoing industry merger and acquisition activity. These challenges will also create a need for community, gathering together to achieve strategic goals and support among members and Affiliates. We look forward to growing with you as we charge towards another 50 years of service by 2071!
